(by Philippa Lubbock)[dropcap]T[/dropcap]en years ago, I awoke one morning to a thought sliding into awareness: I don’t like my life. What could that mean? My life was blessed with loving family, friends, health, and work I enjoyed… I saw an image of myself sitting in the therapist’s chair for many more years. Suddenly, I couldn’t say yes to that, yet it had never occurred to me that I wouldn’t see out my working days as a psychotherapist. I was, after all, in my late fifties, and fortunate to have plentiful, enjoyable work. But dawn’s messenger spoke clearly: it’s time to move on!
As I prepared to close my practice, I surveyed the marketplace stocked with healing modalities, but none was enticing. I appealed to Spirit to send me guidance in easy-to-read symbols, but in that timeless world they were in no hurry. Earth time was running out. What was I being asked to do? The following spring, I visit an herbalist friend and healer. She asks if I’ve heard of Life Alignment? I listen politely, and as she describes this healing system and her experience with its founder, Dr. Jeff Levin, I feel a shiver of excitement. Her description is precisely what I had long been searching for: a healing method that would find the underlying core issue with laser accuracy, show me where the body is holding it, include deep emotional processing, and use energy to release the memory at cellular level. It is when I learn that this technique can be applied to a home, buildings and land, to a business or organisation, to relationships or to reorient us on our life path, that mild scepticism begins to creep in. But I keep an open mind until I can receive a treatment – an experience that blows my mind.
Fast-forward: I’m sitting in a training workshop with Jeff Levin. I know a little about his story: a team of Light Beings chose this South-African-born architect and healer to download into consciousness new ‘software’ for a vibrational healing system and technology for personal and global healing, and to make it available worldwide. For 20 years, Jeff had been travelling across four continents sharing and teaching this vibrational healing method and its pioneering Vortex technology with a growing family of teachers and practitioners in 14 countries.[span3] Global healing begins with personal healing. Personal healing begins with attending to the mind. With the environment as the hot issue, we look outwards to the macrocosm, but it is the microcosm – the chatterbox mind – that cries out for immediate attention! Illness is the result of a toxic environment that has reached overload.[/span3]Half way through the first morning, Jeff asks us to feel the energy in the room. He picks up a small plastic card and places it above the door. What are we feeling now? At first, no one speaks. Then one student says, ‘I’m breathing more easily’. Others join in. My neighbour’s body feels lighter, colours are seen, hands tingle, feet come alive. I feel nothing. Jeff looks at me: ‘And you, Philippa?’ What can I say? I don’t want him to know that, apparently, I’m insensitive. I’m tempted to pretend I, too, can feel the difference. Feeling downhearted, I mutter that I’m not sure… Jeff had used a particular Vortex card to calibrate the earth energies and electromagnetic radiation in the room, bringing the environment and its occupants into harmonic resonance. Despite my inability to feel this energy shift, I wanted passionately to practice this groundbreaking healing method that adheres to a fundamental truth: we are multi-dimensional beings, and our problems cannot be solved at the level at which they are manifesting. Physical symptoms rarely begin in the physical realm, but are conceived in the mental-emotional bodies. For a swift resolution to any issue, we need to work at higher dimensions of reality through asking the only one who knows the answer: the client’s higher Self.
By day’s end, I’ve got the picture: you cannot heal the body independently from its environment. This refers not only to our outer environment, natural earth energies and the invisible electromagnetic ‘smog’ that saturate our bodies and buildings, but also to our inner environment of thoughts and feelings which are often equally toxic. Global healing begins with personal healing. Personal healing begins with attending to the mind. With the environment as the hot issue, we look outwards to the macrocosm, but it is the microcosm – the chatterbox mind – that cries out for immediate attention! Illness is the result of a toxic environment that has reached overload. Thought governs energy, which governs form. With our thoughts we create stories; feelings give them life; body cells give them a home. If we want to change cellular behaviour, we must identify the stories and self-limiting beliefs that block the lifeforce and deprive the cells of life-sustaining energy necessary to keep them healthy.
Suddenly, it’s 2007: what’s missing is a book. I begin writing Life Alignment, which describes how this healing system works, how we can tap into our higher consciousness to find the root cause of our symptoms, why our home and work environments impact on our health, how to restore a business or organisation to ‘good health’ and prosperity, and how to come into alignment with our life’s purpose. In the context of a clear, straightforward guide to Energy Medicine I explain the physics behind vibrational healing and how to think ‘outside the box’ in order to understand a 21st Century healing technique given to us to help heal our minds, our wounded hearts, and our home, called Earth.
